Alfred Mockett joined Motive in February 2006 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. His career in technology and telecommunications spans more than 30 years, working in both private and public companies. Prior to joining Motive, Mr. Mockett served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Management Systems Inc. (AMSY), the $1 billion IT consulting and professional services company which was acquired in 2004 by the CGI group. Before AMS, Mr. Mockett served on the Executive Committee of BT for 10 years in a range of divisional capacities, including Chief Executive Officer of BT Ignite, BT’s $6 billion international broadband data and applications services business. Prior to this role, Mr. Mockett led BT’s initiative to bring together all of the company’s disparate international activities under BT Worldwide, a single division to deliver on BT’s vision to be a major player in the global communications marketplace. He has also held executive positions at Memorex Telex and General Computer Systems Inc. Mr. Mockett graduated with honors from the University of London.

Virginia Gambale has served as a Director of Motive since July 2004. Ms. Gambale retired from Wall Street in 2003 after a successful career with Marsh McClellan, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Alex Brown in which she largely held senior technology positions. Her career culminated in 1997 with her appointment as CIO of DB’s Bankers Trust Alex. Brown, where she was lauded as one of the top three CIO’s on Wall Street. Ms. Gambale left the pure technology track in 1999 to become the head of DB Strategic Ventures, and wind down their $100 million investment portfolio. This led to her appointment as general partner in DB Capital Ventures until her retirement from Wall Street. Ms. Gambale has served on a number of privately held boards including IQ Financial (Chairman), Workbrain, Synchronoss, Cokinetic, and Adeptra among others. Ms. Gambale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology

Michael J. Maples, Sr. has served as a Director of Motive since June 1997. Mr. Maples, Sr. currently manages private investments and ranches. From April 1988 to July 1995, Mr. Maples, Sr. held various management positions at Microsoft Corporation, the most recent of which was Executive Vice President of the Worldwide Products Group and a member of the Office of the President. He also serves as Director of NetIQ Corporation, a provider of software for managing e-business enterprise infrastructures; Peoplesoft, an enterprise software applications company; Lexmark International, Inc. a laser and inkjet printer company; and Concero, Inc., a software services company. Mr. Maples, Sr. is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Engineering School at the University of Oklahoma and the College of Engineering Foundation Advisory Council at the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Maples, Sr. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma City University.

Tom Meredith has served as a Director of Motive since June 2003. Mr. Meredith is currently Chief Executive Officer of MFI Capital. Most recently, Mr. Meredith served as Managing Director of Dell Ventures and Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for Dell Computer Corporation from 2000-2001. He was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Dell from 1992 to 2000. Prior to joining Dell in 1992, Meredith was Vice President and Treasurer for Sun Microsystems, Inc. He is a board member of FreeMarkets, Inc. (FMKT), Tipping Point, Inc. (TPTI) as well as several other private companies. He is also an adjunct professor of business at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and serves on the advisory boards of both The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Texas. Mr. Meredith received his Master’s of Law degree in Taxation from Georgetown University; his Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University of Law; and his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Francis College. In addition, he has an honorary Ph.D. from Duquesne University Business School.

David Sikora has served as a Director of Motive since January 2000. Mr. Sikora served as Chairman and CEO of several leading software companies, including Pervasive Software, Question Technologies and Ventix Systems. In addition, Mr. Sikora served as President and CEO of Houston-based ForeFront Group, Inc., a leading provider of e-Learning solutions for information technology professionals. During his six years at ForeFront, he led the company through an initial public offering in 1995 and a successful merger with SmartForce in 1998. Mr. Sikora received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Houston and a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Harvey White has served as a Director of Motive since July 2004. A wireless industry veteran, Mr. White served as chairman and CEO of Leap Wireless International, Inc. since its spin-off from QUALCOMM Incorporated in 1998 as an independent, publicly traded company. . In June 2004, he left Leap to found (SHW)2, a business development and consulting firm. At QUALCOMM, Mr. White was a co-founder and director and held various positions including executive vice president, COO, and president. Before QUALCOMM, he was COO and a director at Linkabit, a high-growth, leading-edge communications company that was acquired by M/A-COM in August 1980. Mr. White currently serves on the boards of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ: AMCC) and CrystalVoice, Inc.. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and an Honorary Ph.D. in Humanities from Marshall University.
