Motive wins Fast Mode award for eSIM and subscription management performance
Motive has won the award for Performance in the eSIM & Subscription Management Enabler category at The Fast Mode Awards 2026. The recognition puts a practical operator priority in focus: making connected devices easier to activate and services easier to deliver.
A subscriber adding a smartwatch or moving to a new phone expects a straightforward experience. Behind that experience, the operator has to coordinate subscription eligibility, authentication, eSIM provisioning and service configuration across its device and network environment. When those steps are disconnected, onboarding becomes harder to manage.
Motive's Entitlement Server helps operators coordinate provisioning and service entitlement across primary and companion devices. It provides a common platform for supporting eSIM services alongside capabilities such as VoLTE, VoWiFi and RCS provisioning.
Making activation part of the growth plan
For operators, a connected-device proposition depends on more than the subscription offer. Customers also need a clear route to getting the device connected. This makes activation a commercial consideration as well as a technical one. An operator reviewing its eSIM journey should look at where customers leave the native device experience, where additional information is required and how exceptions are resolved. These are useful starting points for identifying avoidable friction.
Motive supports eSIM provisioning across primary and companion devices. Bringing entitlement into the onboarding discussion helps operators plan how eligible devices and subscriptions receive the services they need.
Supporting the next device
Multi-device services create opportunities to extend the subscriber relationship beyond the smartphone. They also introduce different activation and service requirements across devices and ecosystems.
An entitlement platform helps coordinate those requirements. The implementation discussion should cover supported devices, subscription eligibility, number-sharing requirements and the handoffs between device systems and operator platforms.
The same discipline matters when a subscriber changes devices. A transfer experience should be considered across the full journey, including authentication, profile provisioning, service availability and recovery when a step fails. Standards-based eSIM transfer workflows define a role for entitlement servers, while the exact customer experience depends on the device ecosystem and operator implementation.
Getting more value from the platform
Operators also need to consider how entitlement fits their wider service roadmap. Motive’s platform supports multiple provisioning and entitlement requirements, including eSIM, VoLTE, VoWiFi and RCS.
A useful architecture review therefore starts with the services the operator wants to deliver and the systems already in place. That creates a basis for deciding where a shared entitlement platform can simplify coordination, and where service-specific requirements need separate treatment.
The Fast Mode award provides independent recognition of Motive in the Performance dimension of the eSIM & Subscription Management Enabler category. For operators, the next step is to connect that recognition to their own deployment priorities.
